Positive outcome from the Euro-Argo RISE review meeting

While the Euro-Argo RISE enters its final phase, the project’s evaluation was held on 10 March 2022.

This official review was the first one in the project’s lifetime. The review examined in-depth the progress of the actions, from January 2019 until March 2022, with the help of an independent expert.

The review started with an overview of the project from the coordination and then a review of the main results by the WP leaders. Through didactic presentations focused on concrete examples, WP leaders showcased selected achievements of Euro-Argo RISE and presented their future plans until the end of the project. The review ended with a status on the financial and administrative management.

Thanks to the highly collaborative work done in Euro-Argo RISE, the review meeting was an opportunity to highlight the huge progress made on technology, data management, community enhancement and services to users. This win-win relationship between the Euro-Argo research infrastructure and the Euro-Argo-RISE partners allowed to a strength the European contribution to the Argo international programme

The review report was highly positive, highlighting very high-quality activities and results achieved so far and provided recommendations for future work until the end of the Euro-Argo RISE project.

At the time of the review, 38 (60%) deliverables were submitted and available on Euro-Argo RISE project webpage and 6 peer reviewed publications were available in open access scientific journals.
