Research Infrastructures and the Paris Agreement on climate
A Conference on the Research Infrastructures and the Paris Agreement on Climate was organized by COOP+ in Belgium on 20-21 November 2018. The Conference gathered relevant research infrastructures in Europe and other countries, research and policy communities to identify gaps and needs for research infrastructures to deliver the best available science in support of the Paris Agreement on Climate.
The contribution of the Euro-Argo ERIC in monitoring the world Ocean was presented by Diarmuid O'Conchubhair (Marine Institute, Ireland, vice-chair of the Euro-Argo ERIC Management Board), together with the Euro-Argo strategy for the future, including the network extensions towards higher latitudes, greater depths and biogeochemistry.
