Celebrating 5 Years of argopy: join the festivities!
Argopy is turning 5, and we’re excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with all of you!
Argopy is a powerful Python library designed to simplify access to Argo data, enabling easy manipulation and visualisation for standard users, as well as both Argo experts and operators (Maze and Balem, 2020). Whether downloading data online or retrieving offline datasets from a GDAC copy, argopy makes it seamless to work with collections of Argo measurements based on spatial and temporal domains or specific float numbers. Argopy is free, open source, compatible with major operating systems and welcomes any kind of contributions.
Initially developed during the Euro-Argo RISE project, argopy has continuously evolved thanks to an engaged community of contributors and users. Over the past five years, it has grown into a trusted tool that simplifies data workflows and empowers the Argo community.
To mark this occasion, the argopy team has organised a series of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy:
- Coding Challenges: test your skills and creativity with a set of exciting Argo related challenges designed for all levels. Compete for bragging rights and prizes!
- Online Game Contest: join the community for a fun-filled competition that blends tech and play. Perfect for taking a break.
- User Survey: share your feedback and ideas to help shape Argopy’s future. Your voice matters!
- Free Training Camp: dive deeper into argopy with expert-led sessions tailored for both new and experienced users.
